Discover the amazing people behind Trickle! First up, meet Rachel Davies, our Marketing Manager.
Tell us about your role at Trickle?
I joined Trickle in August 2022 because I loved the Trickle product and the impact it could have on so many organisations and their people.
My role is incredibly diverse, like a marketing Swiss Army Knife! To date I’ve been involved in projects from devising and implementing marketing strategies to creating and executing customer comms and technical things like implementing Google Analytics 4… and everything inbetween where marketing can support different departments at Trickle. No two days are the same, I love it!
What is your favourite Trickle feature?
It has to be ‘Fist Bump’. It’s so simple, and really makes someone’s day! I love how much joy it can bring the person sending it, as well as how appreciated it can make your colleagues feel. Simple yet effective.
What does the perfect weekend look like?
Oh, this is easy – a weekend in a remote part of the country, sun shining, 27 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! Friday evening I would head out and find the perfect camping spot, get a fire going and enjoy a couple of beers. A nice long hike on Saturday, followed by paddle boarding on Sunday.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?
‘Always be curious and always ask why.’
I was told this quite early on in my career and I wouldn’t be where I am today without constantly asking why!
If you had a time machine, would you choose to go to the future or the past – and why?
Working in a tech company, people would always expect me to say the future, but I’m so fascinated by the past! I would love to go back to Victorian times to see and understand how they created all of the incredible infrastructure without the tech we have today.
